Amsterdam/Willemstad – The Curaçao startup company, Stampwallet, was selected as one of eleven companies to continue on to the last round of the prestigious Startupbootcamp FinTech & Cybersecurity held in Amsterdam on September 27th and 28th, 2017. Stampwallet will be the first Curaçao company to participate in this prestigious 4-month accelerator program, which will kick off on October 30th, 2017. The 11 participating startups will be closing the bootcamp with a big celebration on Demo Day, on February 9th, 2018.
More than 540 startup companies from 73 countries applied for the chance to make it to the finals. A selection of 20 of these startups traveled to Amsterdam to pitch their ideas on stage on September 27-28. A group of mentors met with each team during a 20-minute session, offering the team help and suggestions for improvement that they had to incorporate before they were judged again. At the end of the second day, after more mentor sessions, the top 11 teams were announced, with Stampwallet being one of them.
The Startupbootcamp FinTech & Cybersecurity program is a roadmap to acceleration. The startups will get extensive support, workshops, training, and access to a large network of entrepreneurs, top executives, and investors. Stampwallet will get access to free office space and many more boosts, services, and perks from the partners, mentors, and investors affiliated to the Startupbootcamp; all working to help Stampwallet scale up and become an industry leader.
