App Usage

The first time you use the app you have to give access to use your camera to scan the QR codes of stores. Collecting a stamp using the QR code scanner works as followed:

Open the Quickscanner in our app (second icon on the bottom), scan any type of QR code (from stampwallet) and you are done!

OR go to the place and open the promotion and then:

  • Click collect a stamp
  • If you have multiple options click QR code reader
  • The scanner will now appear
  • Scan the QR code
  • Please note that the QR code must be visible completely and must be ‘sharp’. This works the same as your camera, you need to focus by moving the phone a bit
  • When the app reads the code the stampcard automatically will open

It’s possible you suddenly discover a store in your wallet you didn’t add. This store has a different icon than other stores and when you open the card you see points instead of stamps.

This is a group card, an additional cool feature to save for more discounts.

When a mall or a group of stores promote Stampwallet together, you will automatically are added to a group card. When you save in-store A and B of group X, you will get your normal stamps on card A and B, but also receive 2 points (or more) on card X.

With those points, you automatically save for cool extra prizes. They can change every week and will not influence the stamps on card A and B when redeeming. So extra and more prizes!

You can share every promotion with friends or family in Stampwallet.

  • Open the place
  • Open a promotion (if there are 2 or more)
  • Click on the icon next to the trashbin on top of the screen (small icon with 2 persons).
  • Now click on add user (or click the icon again)
  • Now scan the user QR code (this QR code can be found under settings > profile > QR code
  • The user will now be added to your account and you save together (only 1 can redeem the reward).

We added an anonymous login so you can register really quick as a new user. Please note that this is only for temporary usage. You can only save a maximum of 5 stamps/points per place and cannot redeem rewards.

To finalize your account please go to setting and click create account.

  1. Go to places
  2. Search for the place you want to follow
  3. Click on it
  4. You will see a popup with information of that place
  5. Click add stamp to wallet
  6. You now follow that store, and you can find it in your wallet

Management Panel (merchants)

Yes you can. Under your ‘Followers’ tab in your management panel, you can click the ‘save’ icon which will export a CSV file with your customers’ details.

Yes you can. Please follow these steps to create a manual transaction:

  • Login to manager.stampwallet.io with your credentials
  • Click on transactions
  • Click on the ‘+ New Transaction’ button
  • Search the user you want to make the transaction for
  • Choose the promotion for the transaction
  • Enter the amount of stamps or points the customer should receive / be taken away
  • Click on ‘Create’

You can cancel any transaction made by going to your ‘Transactions’ tab in your management panel. Please follow these steps to revert a transaction:

  • Login to manager.stampwallet.io with your credentials
  • Click on transactions
  • Search for the transaction you would like to revert
  • Click on the circular arrow symbol on the right.
  • Click on OK on the pop-up.
  • The transaction is now canceled.

A coupon is a feature within Stampwallet you can use to attract new customers or to simply promote a product or service. To create a coupon, please follow these steps

  • Login to manager.stampwallet.io with your credentials
  • Click on Coupons
  • Click on the +
  • Fill in all the details
  • Save your coupon
  • Your coupon will now be available in the app.

An additional advantage of coupons is that they are not only available for your own customer base but to all Stampwallet users in your region!

  • Fill in all the details and images
  • Save your promotion

You can choose to either use the HOST feature or create ‘static’ QR codes. The host feature is found in your management panel where you can create QR codes by one click on the button. You can choose for

  1. instant QR codes: 1 scan is 1 stamp or point
  2. QR codes based on a spent amount. E.g. 10$ per stamp, customer spent 40$ then the customer receives 4 stamps by scanning the QR code
  3. QR codes based on quantity. You simply enter the amount of stamps / points the customer should receive, once the QR code has been scanned, the customer receives the stamps / points.

The advantage of the HOST feature is that there is no security risk. Every time a QR code is scanned, it disappears. Best methods to use the host feature is to have a tablet on your desk on which you run this feature.

You could also choose to create static QR codes under the ‘promotion’ tab in the management panel. These QR codes can be given a name (employee name for example) and can be printed on flyers, posters, or plastic cards. There are 4 types:

  1. Normal: these can entail a certain value (1,2,4,etc) and can be scanned unlimited times.
  2. Stamp per price: When scanned, it’ll give a pop-up on the app asking to fill in an amount. Depending on the promotion settings, it’ll give stamps based on the amount entered. For example, if the promotion would say, 1 stamp per 100 rand and you fill in 420 rand, it’ll give 4 stamps.
  3. Once: When scanned, the customer receives X amount of stamps after which the QR code is inactivated.
  4. Per user once: Every customer can scan this QR code only one time. This QR code can therefore be used for promotional purposes such as on flyers, posters, social media, etc.

Since Stampwallet 2.0 we have added a message centre to the app. Go to our management panel, click on message centre and click the + icon. You can now send a message. The message will be placed in the message center of a user in our app.

You can sent messages filtered on promotion, gender, and age. Ideal for marketing and sales!

Privacy

The things the app is asking for before an install is only because this is added by Android or Apple automatically when using certain functionalities. Sometimes these things look a bit ‘scary’, but please let us explain:

1. The phone functionality: it is only so users can call a store / location from our app. A store can add their phone number. Users can click on the phone link and call. Because of this functionality we have to add the rule like it is now, but we can never, ever use your phone. Only you can use / trigger this.

2. Access to your camera: this is only for you to use the QR scanner to receive stamps. Nothing more. We can’t even access your camera without you tapping the ‘tab to scan’ button.

3. Image gallery: this is only so you can access you gallery from our app to add or change a profile picture. Please note that we can’t do anything with your images, only when you select an image we’re allowed to use it in our app but nowhere else.

4. Bluetooth and GPS: you can decide if you want to use this. Both services improve the app experience by showing a map with your location and show nearby stores. You can turn this OFF anytime, the app will still work, but the experience is a bit different.

As you can see all points are really transparent. We completely understand your concerns so we hope it’s a bit clear now.

Still having issues?

  1. If you’re a first time user, please make sure you have internet so we can retrieve all stores from the database.

If you can’t scan a QR code this can have several reasons:

1. Not giving permissions

A user has to give permissions for Stampwallet to access the camera. This is only to scan QR code, we can’t use the camera for anything else. If the permission is not giving the scan area remains black and the QR will not be scanned. (you can enable camera options in settings of your phone: settings > stampwallet > camera on.)

2. QR code to dark or too light

it’s possible the QR code is in a too dark place. The white and black must be visible enough to make the scan success. If this is not possible please move the phone a bit or replace the QR code.

It’s also possible light is shining on the QR code too much so the QR code cannot be scanned. Move the phone a bit to change.

3. Wrong QR code

When you get a popup ‘this QR code does not belong to this store’, there is something wrong with the QR code. The store either has a wrong QR code or an old version. Please make sure you update the app to the latest version and make sure the store has the latest version of the QR.

Once you have a full card, you get a reward which you can redeem for a certain prize or discount at the designated store. All you have to do is click on ‘redeem’ under the rewards tab and scan the QR code or connect to the Super Beacon (only at stores who have Stampwallet PRO).

If it doesn’t work, these might be the reasons:

1. No internet-enabled
The Internet needs to be connected in order to redeem cards.

2. Update app
You might not have the newest version of the app downloaded. Please go to stampwallet.io/download and choose your type of smartphone. Then click on ‘update’

3. Not giving permissions
